Sarah Palin to Endorse Donald Trump?

You heard it here first, folks, because it hasn't happened yet - Sarah Palin will endorse Donald Trump tonight at his campaign event in Iowa.

This has not yet been formally announced, but I am pretty darn convinced it's happening. So get your tinfoil hats on, and let's go through the reasons:

1. This bizarro flight path.

A chartered jet flies from Anchorage to Iowa, just in time for The Donald's rally, and then follows him to his next day's events in Tulsa. This tells us that there's an Alaskan, with access to a chartered jet, who will be following Donald Trump across several states. There is probably only one Alaskan who fits that description.

2. Bristol Palin's blog post.

In it, she slams Ted Cruz's campaign for having the audacity to say that...Sarah Palin should not endorse Trump, because Trump is not a real conservative. There's nothing nasty about Sarah Palin in that statement, not even close. Here's the kicker - she says she hopes that her mom, Sarah Palin, DOES endorse Donald Trump.

I doubt Bristol is personally offended by Ted Cruz. What's more likely is that the Palin Camp knows what is coming, and they're using Bristol as a surrogate to issue a preemptive strike on Ted Cruz.

3. They're both reality TV stars.

Trump and Palin know how this works. You put on an interesting show, and even people who hate it will tune in. Palin gets tons of media attention, and Trump gets a high(ish) profile endorsement.

All of these clues add up to a Palin endorsement at Trump's rally. If she walks out on that stage - the crowd will go nuts - the media will go nuts - and everyone will be watching.
