No, I don't mean anything about race. I mean she belongs in jail.
Her crime? Sending classified information - meaning, information that is important to national security - on her homebrewed email server. And then lying about it, to the American people and also to a judge - so, perjury.
Hillary has said over and over again that her little backyard email server was perfectly safe, totally Kosher, 100% legal. She also said "I want the public to see my email," which is why she had her staff delete tens of thousands of messages, and only turned over her server when it was seized by the FBI.
It all makes sense, in Clintonland, where reason is suspended and everything is sunny.
At least two of the emails on Hillary's DIY server contained information classified as Top Secret. This is contrary to what she and her campaign have been telling us for months. This scandal also extends to her aides, who used the homebrew server as well. Government systems don't capture emails sent between two private email addresses - at least one address has to be government owned for the messages to be recorded. And they do have to be recorded. That's State Department rules.
Hillary is fine with letting some people see her email - specifically her lawyer, who has lots of those emails on a USB drive. I don't know what best practices are for handling sensitive information, but I'm pretty sure "throw it on a jump drive and hand it to your lawyer" is not, shall we say, ideal.
Anyway, back to the Top Secret emails. That classification is no joke - it is used to signify that the information, if released, could cause "exceptionally grave damage to national security." Even if Hillary wasn't going to be a particularly good Secretary of State, you'd think she'd at least have the sense to not make things worse. But, nope, the Queen could not be bothered to follow the very simple rule - that rule being "use a State Department email address" - to avoid potentially devastating leaks. On more than one occasion, Hillary prioritized her own convenience over
the security of our nation. That's not the attitude of a public servant.
She'll probably trot out the tired old excuse of "I didn't know that it was Top Secret info" - but as America's top diplomat, it was her job to know. Whether she knew or not, she failed at her job.
Hillary was criminally negligent with information that could cause "exceptionally grave damage to national security." Will this new finding cause exceptionally grave damage to Hillary's campaign?
