Cecile Richards and Hillary Clinton Try to Spin Those Gruesome Planned Parenthood Videos

I don't know how anyone could possibly defend what those Planned Parenthood execs have been caught doing. The trafficking in fetal remains - the price haggling - the sifting through human parts in a petri dish - each is more grim, more ghoulish, than the next.

I've been following these videos as they've been released. And since the very first one came out (remember wine-swilling, organ-selling Deborah Nucatola?) I figured the response would look something like this:

1. Liberals immediately claim they had no idea this was happening, despite funnelling hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to PP each year.
2. Every lefty twitter account is scrubbed of all references to Planned Parenthood.
3. PP issues some tidy little press release about how this was all against their policy, and they've fired the people involved.
4. Everything continues as normal, even though "normal," at Planned Parenthood, is terrifying.

Instead of the denunciations and the pledges to fix it and the pearl-clutching I anticipated, we got something far more brazen: a full-throated defense of what's going on at Planned Parenthood.

There were calls to investigate...the people who made the video. Not the people doing things that are definitely illegal and, according to anyone with a conscience, definitely immoral. Nope - the left, and the media, went all in on pretending like the real evil didn't exist, and that the moral outrage should be directed at the video makers, the whistleblowers.

Then you've got Hillary Clinton('s team of highly paid spin doctors) who tweeted that she's "proud" to stand with Planned Parenthood, because it does "quality, affordable health care." There are plenty of places to get quality, affordable health care that do not harvest and sell fetal organs. Also, we can debate about the "quality" of any "health care" that routinely results in the death of a viable unborn child. I would define "quality health care" as "care in which no one gets killed by a doctor," so I guess my bar for "quality" is set higher than Mrs. Clinton's.

Leading the charge is Planned Parenthood's top exec, Cecile Richards. Richards tweeted: "These attacks are not about us. They are about the ability of women across the country to access health care. Period." UGH CECILE all of this is a lie. For starters, the videos aren't "attacks." They're footage of normal business practices. And you can wail that they're edited, sure, but the full tape of each instance has been released, and there's pretty much nothing on there that makes PP look better. And the videos are most certainly about you. They're about what Planned Parenthood does. That's literally the content of each video, Cecile: What your organization does, and what it does with taxpayer money.

Cecile took Hillary's tactic of **Make It About Health Care** even though it is obvious that health care is available to women without Planned Parenthood. Does anyone seriously believe that there is any woman, anywhere, would have no access to medical care without PP? PP does conduct health care (think: screenings, sex ed, testing for disease) but those are all things available at other places (and it's likely that PP would survive without our tax money, anyway). Access to women's health care is not restricted - in fact, access is proliferating - look at how many Minute Clinics and Urgent Care centers are popping up across America. Maybe Hillary and Cecile haven't figured it out yet, but as for those clinics - women are, in fact, allowed inside.

We could argue pretty much endlessly on whether Planned Parenthood is, overall, good or bad. But what we cannot dispute is that the left-wing doesn't want to face up to what their organization is doing. They're eager to lie about it, to pin it on the right, to distract people from it. And that's a problem, no matter what.
